Dear Pennies & Pens,
For this week’s, Model Mondays, I wanted to feature emerging male model Sacha M’Baye who I had previously mentioned in theĀ Model Mondays: Jourdan Dunn post since Sacha appeared in the Burberry ad campaign alongside Jourdan. In fact, Sacha was the first male model of color to be featured in a Burberry ad campaign. Sacha hails from Senegal and was raised in France where he was discovered while riding the train.
Since being discovered, Sacha has appeared in American Eagle and Gap ad campaigns, and GQ Style. Sacha who is only 20 has the chance to have a successful modeling career. His eyes, nose, and lips are his best assets as they really give his face character. As I have mentioned before, a model’s eyes are important especially in print modeling because the eyes can reveal or hide a lot.
It will be interesting to see how Sacha’s career grows as he is not currently signed to a New York agency. His home agency Select is based in London so we’ll see if Sacha ever appears on the runways for New York Fashion Week. Until then, I wanted to bring this hot newcomer to your attention.
