Dear Pennies & Pens,

So this morning, an email from a fabulous new T-shirt brand popped up in my inbox and it’s called Tourne de Transmission! Tourne de Transmission is a UK based T-Shirt line that was started in 2010 by Graeme Gaughan. Unlike many T-Shirt brands, Tourne de Transmission is offering something that is artistic & visually appealing.

Each T-Shirt presents an image that makes you think which makes the shirts not only wearable but makes the wearer look conscious of what’s going on in the world instead of just being a wearer of designer labels. Tourne de Transimission’s design aesthetic is about combining art with fashion.

In essence, Tourne de Transmission shirts speak to classic Newspaper design with the fonts used on the shirts. Also, the year 2010 which is when the line was created is written in Roman Numerals to hint at classicism. As far as the images on the shirts, some of the them were created specifically for Tourne de Transmission while other images come from old bookstores and antiquarians from all over the world.

I must say out of all of the designer labels here on de la Pen, this is definitely one of the most original. I haven’t been this excited about a designer post since Robb & Lulu. All the more reason for me to continue in my quest to only feature the best content possible. Anyway back to the main point, check out Tourne de Transmission on their website here and also stop by Coggles.com to purchase a shirt.

And there it is. The Fashion & Style of the Pen…de la Pen.

P.S. Check out this awesome interview Dazed Digital did with Tourne de Transmission’s creator Graeme Gaughan here.
