Press Pen: Tadashi Shoji S/S 2012 Show Review

Dear Pennies & Pens,

On Thursday, I attended Tadashi Shoji’s Spring/Summer 2012 show. Tadashi Shoji is a Japanese designer who has been showing at New York Fashion since 2007. Tadashi has two boutiques here in the US and is also sold in Neiman Marcus, Saks, Bloomingdale’s. He also has celebrity clients including Beyonce, Queen Latifah, Helen Mirren, and Debra Messing.

Tadashi was inspired by flowers for this collection. He even named the colors used in his collection after flowers: fern, daisy, petunia, magnolia, and rosebud. The collection ranged from long dresses to shorter dresses that were knee length.

Overall, the collection was very pretty. It was like every girly girl’s dream. It was beautiful and soft all at the same time. I really liked this greenish-yellow dress that model Rose Cordero wore. My other favorite pieces were a sheer taupe off the shoulder dress and a lovely off the shoulder beaded dress.

And there it is. The Fashion & Style of the Pen…de la Pen.
