F.A.M. Press: Helios & Luna Fall/Winter 2012 by Kimberlee Van Der Wall (@KimberleeVDW)

Dear Pennies & Pens,

It’s Kimberlee of I Have A Degree In This! and I have the pleasure of being a NYFW Guest Editor for The Network. With no further adieu, please check out my review of the Helios & Luna Fall/Winter 2012 collection.

The Helios & Luna collection was not afraid of color. Designer Patricia Clyne said she was influenced by British conceptual modern artist Martin Creed whose ā€œgraphic bold strokes and colors reflect the spirit of the woman the collection is designed for.ā€ There were the quintessential fall orange colors as well as bold blues and green.

The line represented a sophisticated woman with clean lines and tailoring. There were mostly dresses among the collection that were paired with long gloves. It felt like a line for women a bit older than me. However, I did like the play with polka dots and blush pinks. There was a great ivory faux curly lamb fur jacket that I wanted to wrap myself in.

And there it is. de la Pen…All Pen Everything.Ā
