Model Mondays: Dae Na

Dear Pennies & Pens,

For this week’s “Model Mondays” I decided to feature newcomer, Dae Na of VNY Model Management and Wilson Model Management. Dae Na is Korean and has appeared in major campaigns for Donna Karan, Bloomingdale’s , and Diesel.

Dae Na is 22 years old and is 6’2”. In a profile on Models.com, Dae Na states that he loves listening to Nat King Cole and Red Hot Chili Peppers and that he loved working with photographer Terry Richardson. One thing that surprised me was that he also mentioned listening to Christian Rock and said he loves praising the lord. It’s not often that you hear of new models discussing their religious beliefs so openly so this was a nice change up.

Since Dae Na is such a new model there’s not much info posted online. However, being that he’s already #42 on Models.com top 50 male models, he’ll be racking up the press mentions soon enough. And hopefully, de la Pen will be one of the first outlets to feature this fresh face model.

I love Dae Na because of his soft yet masculine face and his body is clearly on point! Honestly, his features seem to be a mixture of Asian and European and yet it’s his Asian features that make him unique. I love that Asian models particularly Asian male models are landing so many major campaigns and runway shows. In essence, it looks like the diversity is finally coming to the fashion industry, slowly but surely!
