Pen.Point: The Seasoned Traveler…The Omni Dallas Review

Dear Pennies & Pens,

It’s so hard to believe it is Monday! I had an absolutely phenomenal weekend. My stay at The Omni Dallas was so relaxing and enjoyable. When I checked into the hotel, I received the fantastic surprise of being booked for the luxury deluxe suite! The room was gorgeous and so spacious! Check out my photos of the room on Google+.

The room included a lounge area with a table and six chairs, a couch, large flat screen tv, guest bathroom, and refrigerator, then in the bedroom there was a Queen size bed, a sitting chair, a desk, a large flat screen tv, and the bathroom (which was my favorite room), had a bathtub, shower, two sinks, and a TV in the mirror! Saturday night I didn’t even go out because I wanted to hang out in the room and relax because it was that dope.

The room also had the most amazing view of Dallas in the lounge area, bedroom, and the bathroom! You could see almost all of Dallas and it was pretty during the day and at night.  The Omni Dallas also lights up at night so that is a highlight as well. In general, Dallas loves lights so you’ll find that most of the buildings are illuminated at night. Every aspect of the room was just so cool. There was art by local Dallas artists throughout the room and the book shelf was filled with real books.

My bed was super comfortable too. And the tub and shower were a dream. The tub is great for a long soak and the shower was amazing because the shower head is customizable. I also loved the decor of the room, simple, chic, and timeless. There was so much care and detail that went into creating that room. It was truly it’s own work of art.

The staff at the hotel is amazing as well! They were all so helpful and nice. I also got a chance to eat at Texas Spice which is located in the hotel, and the food was delicious! Additionally, I checked out the hotel’s gift shop and it was fabulous! The Omni’s gift shop is not the typical “I love Dallas” t-shirt type of gift shop. It features real art, jewelry, books, and all kinds of cool items by local Dallas artisans. I pretty much wanted to buy everything I saw, that’s how awesome everything was.

On Saturday, I checked out the Infinity Pool for a bit and that was so much fun! There was a DJ, the bar was open, and there were plenty of people there. It was basically a pool party. Since the pool is on the 4th floor, it won’t disturb you because there are no rooms on that floor and you can’t hear anything from other floors. Also, the way the pool is situated gives you a great view of Dallas, so you can enjoy the beauty of Dallas as you swim or sun bathe.

Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay at The Omni Dallas. I have no complaints whatsoever. I would highly recommend the hotel for a romantic getaway, girls or guys night out.

It has everything you need, great rooms, good food, and plenty of things to do. Please check out The Omni Dallas. You can also follow them on Twitter: @OmniHotels and Facebook: OmniHotels.
