Press Pen: Carlos Miele F/W 2012

Dear Pennies & Pens,

Itā€™s Pen here to report on Carlos Miele Fall/Winter 2012. Simply put, this collection was amazing! Carlos Miele created a collection that was inspired by Southern Brazil (Mieleā€™s home country) and in particular the women of Rio Grande do Sul. Miele sought to capture ā€œthe freedom the gaucha` feels when she is riding horses or walking through fields of Brazilian pampas ā€“ beauty in motionā€ as the press materials state.

Miele definitely achieved his goal because the Brazilian influences were easy to spot and the collection definitely captured beauty in motion. What I liked best was the fact that the collection was inspired by Brazil but it was still universal. Also, the colors used were brilliant. There was yellow, black, gold, teal, beige, and orange.

The prints used were simple yet stunning. My favorite piece was a floor length dress with a yellow and black print. I also adored the hats, they were very Spanish and super chic. In fact, I loved all of the accessories used. I saw cool belts and the shoes were fierce too.Ā  Overall, this collection was definitely a favorite for me. I believe Carlos Miele is on his way to becoming the next Spanish Master after the late but great, Cristobal Balenciaga.

And there it is. de la Penā€¦All Pen Everything.Ā
