In this post, Pen’s Rhythm Nation: The Unseen by Shownu x Hyungwon, I unbox Shownu x Hyungwon’s first subunit album, The Unseen. Shownu x Hyungwon is the first MONSTA X subunit.
MONBEBE (fans of MONSTA X) affectionately refer to Shownu x Hyungwon as XXL MONSTA X. This is because both Shownu and Hyungwon are very tall as they are both over 6 feet. Furthermore, they both live in the gym so they are super fit and toned.
As y’all know, I believe that MONSTA X are The Kings of K-Pop. I absolutely adore their music as I find it to be creative, original and refreshing. And this album, The Unseen presents a unique view of MONSTA X as it’s the first official subunit. The Unseen leans towards R&B which is my all time favorite genre of music.

In the vlog below, I unbox The Unseen by Shownu x Hyungwon. I must say that Shownu and Hyungwon look stunning in the photos. It’s truly a visual masterpiece. I love every photo shoot. I have the Unseen and Seen versions, jewel cases and the kit.
Each version presented a different side of both Shownu and Hyungwon. It definitely gives you a different experience as you flip through the photobooks. I also loved how large the Unseen and Seen versions are. It’s like a magazine or coffee table book. It’s absolutely one of my favorite MONSTA X projects although I’m completely biased as they are my ultimate K-Pop group.
