Disclosure and Copyright Policy

Dear Pennies & Pens,

de la Pen…All Pen Everything has developed the following disclosure and copyright policy so that you (our readers) will understand how we collaborate with brands. This policy also includes our copyright policy which helps us protect our original content. Thank you in advance for understanding!

Sponsored Posts, Paid Links and Ads:

de la Pen…All Pen Everything works with brands to create sponsored posts and add paid links or ads to posts. Why? Because there are many expenses that come along with producing and publishing content such as hosting, photo shoots, marketing, advertising, writing, editing, the list goes on and on.

In essence, de la Pen…All Pen Everything and its parent company, ISLP, works with established and emerging brands who provide sponsorship in exchange for features in de la Pen…All Pen Everything. Basically, a brand will provide in-kind sponsorship (complimentary products or services) or cash sponsorship to be featured in de la Pen…All Pen Everything. Depending on the level of sponsorship, a brand will be featured in a stand alone post, included in a “roundup” post aka a post that features several other brands, or we’ll add a link to one of their products or services in a post.

de la Pen…All Pen Everything will only feature and work with brands that we believe in. Additionally, the brand must have products or services that will benefit Pennies & Pens (our readers). Furthermore, any content we create will always be original and exclusive to de la Pen…All Pen Everything. In essence, all views and opinions are those of de la Pen…All Pen Everything.

Lastly, sponsored posts will always be disclosed in the post. However, we will never reveal the amount or value of the sponsorship as that is confidential information that has been negotiated by ISLP (publisher of de la Pen…All Pen Everything) and the sponsor. Thank you in advance for understanding! Please note that we are more focused on producing original content but we gotta keep them inkbills paid, Pennies & Pens!

Product Reviews:

de la Pen…All Pen Everything works with brands to create product reviews. In this case, a brand will send a product or provide a service for our team to review. The product or service is provided at the expense of the brand, in essence, we receive the product or service for free.

de la Pen…All Pen Everything only accepts products or services from brands we truly believe in. Currently, we are not seeking any products for review unless they add value to a project we’re already working on. An example of this would be when we worked with Civilized Cosmetics on our AfriDally editorial; Civilized Cosmetics provided lip gloss for the shoot. This collaboration worked because we got makeup for our shoot and Civilized Cosmetics received a feature.

That said, a product review must be mutually beneficial to us and the brand we’re working with otherwise it won’t work. Please note, it will always be disclosed at the beginning and end of the post when we have received a press sample.

Press Trips:

Our team travels often on press trips. A press trip is a business arrangement between de la Pen…All Pen Everything, its parent company ISLP, and the sponsor. The purpose of the press trip is to visit a city, state, country and write a review of our experience.

For each press trip, we partner with a brand, public relations agency, and/or tourism board to receive sponsorship in the form of complimentary hotel stays, complimentary food, or other complimentary items. We select the brands that we work with on these projects to ensure that we work with brands that we believe in.

Please note for press trip sponsorship, we usually work with hotels, restaurants, and local attractions. Basically, we work with sponsors who can provide products or services that will decrease our budget. In essence, products or services must be provided free of charge to be considered a press trip sponsor. That said, media rates and discounts may be accepted but the brand will not receive the same promotion and marketing as a sponsor would.

Lastly, it will always be disclosed when we have received sponsorship for a press trip. The disclosure will be placed at the beginning and at the end of the post.

Copyright Policy:

No content on de la Pen…All Pen Everything can be reproduced, distributed and/or sold without written permission from our parent company, ISLP.

Comment Policy:

We reserve the right to delete comments that we deem offensive or inappropriate. We also reserve the right not not approve or reply to comments we feel are inappropriate, unnecessary or offensive.

Thank you!

Thanks for the taking the time to read our fine inkprint! We hope we didn’t bore you to death or scare you off. But we gotta be on our business ish, Pennies & Pens. Otherwise we’ll get sued for all our Pennies. Lmao! We mad funny yo.

And there it is. de la Pen…All Pen Everything. With us, keeping it real never goes wrong.

P.S. If you have questions about this policy, email our CEO/Publisher, LoudPen at LoudPen@theinkspotlp.com
