Dear Pennies,

This week’s model is Rose Cordero. Rose Cordero hails from the Dominican republic where she was discovered while playing volleyball. In fact her first fashion week was the Dominican Republic Fashion Week. Rose has since walked New York, Milan, and Paris Fashion Week in shows like Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, and Diane Von Fursternberg.

Rose is well on her way to conquering all the runways and subsequently the ad campaigns. I think that Rose is absolutely gorgeous. She has a simple beauty that reminds me of Liya Kebede. However, unlike Liya, Rose has big bright eyes. When you see Rose in pictures and on the runway, her magnetic eyes always draw you in. Her face is very adaptable and her deadpan expression never changes. Her runway expression is always serious and always constant.

Also the fact that she’s young gives her that fresh look. She can be adapted for any designer’s runway. That’s why she can walk for established houses like Dior in addition to up & coming designers like Jason Wu.  All you have to do is change her hair and makeup and she’s good to go. Rose is definitely a model that will be around for the long haul. Her career only began two years ago and she’s already signed with one of the biggest modeling agencies…Ford Models. Since she just signed with them this year, we can only wait to see how far she goes. But make sure you put Rose Cordero on your radar. She’s already being compared to and posing as modeling mavericks like Grace Jones.
