Pennies on the Page: Team ISLP

Dear Pennies & Pens,

So I completely forgot to mention it but Team ISLP has grown! For those that don’t know, ISLP is my lifestyle production company. In fact, we are the publisher of de la Pen…All Pen Everything. So basically, we’re the ink behind this page.

Team ISLP includes myself, Renee Jones, our Associate Editor and Producer, and Melissa Necey, our Editorial Assistant. We’re a pretty dope team if I do say so myself. Although ISLP is based in Dallas, Renee lives in St. Louis and Melissa lives in Nashville. That said, we use Slack to communicate and collaborate on projects. I would highly recommend it to my fellow entrepreneurs who are looking for an organized way to communicate with their team. But let me stop babbling and introduce you to Team ISLP.

LoudPen, CEO of ISLP

LoudPen is CEO of ISLP and Co-Owner of 8515. Over the past 10 years, LoudPen has gained extensive experience in lifestyle blogging, writing, editing, publishing, product development, marketing, advertising, public relations, creative direction, styling, brand management, and event planning.

As CEO of ISLP, LoudPen designs and develops products, manages the creative team, creates online & social media content, manages sponsorship relations, and much more. LoudPen created ISLP in 2014.

Renee Jones, Associate Editor at ISLP

Renee Jones is an Associate Editor at ISLP and Marketing Assistant at 8515. Throughout the past 3 years, Renee has been learning the ins and outs of writing, editing, research, publishing, product development, design, social media, and marketing.

As Associate Editor at ISLP, Renee plans press trips, conducts research, assists with sponsor relations, in addition to creating content for ISLP’s various online outlets and social media accounts. Renee was an integral part of ISLP’s projects Summer in the South: Birmingham and KC and All That Jazz.

Currently, Renee is working with ISLP to develop original lifestyle products such as LPZ, a hip-hop and R&B compilation album and Pennies & Pens, a fashion line for multicultural millennials. Follow Renee Jones on Instagram: @Renee.Jones03

Melissa Necey, Editorial Assistant at ISLP

Melissa works for ISLP as an Editorial Assistant. At ISLP, Melissa helps conduct research, plan press trips,  and write content. Additionally, Melissa creates meeting agendas, takes notes during meetings, and develops the budget for various projects.

Since joining ISLP, Melissa has contributed several articles to our online magazine de la Pen…All Pen Everything. For the Holiday Issue, Melissa wrote about her favorite 90s TV shows and films.

Currently, Melissa is helping plan ISLP’s press trip to California and will be contributing to the Cruising thru Cali travel guide.
