As you all know from one of my recent posts, Pen.Point: The Seasoned Traveler Presents Summer in the South, The InkSpot is producing a Summer travel series. Summer in the South is a blog series that chronicles our travels and adventures in the Southern region of the U.S. Summer in the South is about showcasing the best cities, hotels, art, food, music, wine, beer, fashion, style as well as events in the South.
Summer in the South will also cover the rich history of the South, educating readers on the culture and customs of this unique region. Summer in the South will feature Birmingham (June 19-21), Nashville (July 24-26), and New Orleans (August 7-9).
Summer in the South will include original text, photos, and videos that will be published to de la Pen…All Pen Everything and #TheInkSpotLP. Summer in the South is being produced and published by The InkSpot.
Since Summer in the South is such a major project, I knew I was going to need help. Luckily, I was able to enlist the help of Renee Jones who will be joining The InkSpot as an Editorial Assistant. Renee Jones wants to live in a world where 2 week vacations are mandatory, wine comes in a big gulp and Saturdays are 32 hours.
As an educator of small humans a.k.a. children she has developed a high volume of patience, believes every moment in life is an opportunity to learn or teach, and the importance of not crying over spilled… well anything because all you can do is clean it up and pour another round! She is most known for her gorgeous smile, unbelievable yet brutal honesty, and care free attitude.
When she is not discovering new ways to make learning awesome for preschoolers or developing her blogging skills, you can find her researching hair products, reading crime-mystery novels and catching up with a few of the best people the world.
Renee’s latest venture is a collaboration with The InkSpot. Renee will be working with The InkSpot as an Editorial Assistant to write content, do research, and travel for the Summer in the South series. Renee will be contributing to both de la Pen…All Pen Everything and #TheInkSpotLP.
