Press Pen: Fashion X Dallas

Dear Pennies & Pens,

Some of you may remember that last year, I attended and covered Fashion X Dallas. Fashion X Dallas is one of Dallasā€™ premier fashion events. Itā€™s a three night event featuring emerging designers from Dallas, NYC, LA, and more. Last yearā€™s event was super fabulous and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Check out my interviews with the participating designers here: Fashion X Dallas Interviews.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend this year as I was out celebrating my birthday. My BFF flew in from Washington, D.C. to surprise me so I couldnā€™t make the event. However, I still wanted to feature the event because I will be moving to Dallas in just a few months so I want to support local events. Since I was able to get a press release from Droese PR, I have included an event recap below.

Fashion X concluded with the FINALE, a celebration of the local design talent in DFW. The Dallas Fashion Fund was awarded to one emerging DFW designer.

The Gallery, an assortment of pop-up shops featured over forty stunning jewelry and accessories lines including Vintage Martiniā€™s ā€œFormals and Furs,ā€ Blaine Bowen, BonBon, and Charlotte Max, opened pre- and post-show each night.

Fashion X Dallas was launched in 2014. Fashion X Dallas is the result of the collaboration between Matt Swinney, founder of Austin Fashion Week, and Fashion Industry Gallery (FIG) Chief Executive Officer, Matt Roth.

The event showcases local DFW designers, emerging talent and well-known designers, including some from Lifetime’s hit TV show Project Runway All Starsā„¢.
