Dear Pennies & Pens,
In this post, #MakeUrPenLoud: My inkstory, I will be talking about how I created my personal brand, then started my businesses ISLP and 8515 and became a lifestyle blogger. As you may know, I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. After graduating from high school, I attended college at Hampton University. Check out my inkode to Hampton.
Once I graduated from Hampton, I did what most millennials do, which is move to NYC. While in NYC, I met my business partner, Cacha Lopez and we started our agency, 8515. After living in NYC for five years, I then moved to Houston, Texas to accept a job at a digital marketing agency. However, I didn’t like living in Houston, so I moved to Dallas in 2015.
Since that time, I’ve launched my production company, ISLP and published two books, #MakeUrPenLoud: How To Be A Lifestyle Blogger and The Loudest Pen Ever.
I’ve also produced two travel guides, Cruising thru Cali and Chillin in Chi-Town. Additionally, I continue to publish new articles here in de la Pen…All Pen Everything. Simply put, ya girl has been busy!
