Dear Pennies & Pens,
Ten years ago, I started this online magazine as a fashion blog. I was living in New York at the time and fashion was my everything. Somehow, I connected with another fashion blogger and they gave me advice on how to get invited to New York Fashion Week shows.
That led to me actually attending New York Fashion Week – I covered the shows every season from 2010 to 2013 when I moved to Texas. I first moved to Houston to work for a digital marketing agency as a Social Media Manager. After two years of H-town, I moved to Dallas where I’ve been ever since.
And now, as I approach my fifth year in Dallas (the same amount of time I lived in New York), I am designing my own fashion line. Isn’t it funny how time & space can change everything? They say fashion and New York are synonymous but without the affordable cost of living of Dallas, I could’ve never created my line, Pennies & Pens.
Furthermore, Dallas is so cool and stylish. I truly love this city. Without it, I couldn’t have started ISLP, The InkSpot, LLC and launched Pennies & Pens. Dallas is clean, the people are nice (for the most part), the food is always on point, and pre-Covid there was always something to do.

I am so beyond hype about this video because it’s the type of content I have always wanted to create. And now that I officially have my own fashion brand, I can do all sorts of cool behind the scenes content.
