Pen’s Rhythm Nation: Why Jay Z and Nas are The Kings of Rap

Dear Pennies & Pens,

In this post, Pen’s Rhythm Nation: Why Jay Z and Nas are The Kings of Rap I talk about why I believe Jay Z and Nas are The Kings of Rap. Jay Z and Nas are my two favorite rappers of all time. I seriously love their music.

But over the years, I’ve noticed that fans still debate who is better. I guess there’s noting wrong with friendly competition but idk it feels a little played out.

With each of them having 30 year careers and 13 and 15 albums each, it’s just kinda like why the debate? They each have their own style and while it’s okay to have a preference that doesn’t make one better than the other.

Why Jay Z and Nas are The Kings of Rap

In the vlog below, I talk about why I believe Jay Z and Nas are The Kings of Rap. I just wanted to pay homage to them because Jay and Nas grew up in Hip-hop. They are truly living legends and it’s beautiful to see.

I will forever support them both. In fact, it’s their later works that I prefer. I like Jay’s Black Album, American Gangster, Magna Carter Holy Grail, Blueprint 3 or Nas’ King’s Disease, Magic or Stillmatic. That grown man style is just so mature and fresh.
