K Penny: Reason by MONSTA X Album Review

Dear Pennies & Pens,

In this post, K Penny: Reason by MONSTA X Album Review, I review MONSTA X’s latest album, Reason. Reason was released on January 9, 2023 which is forever ago in innanet time. However, I wanted to wait and give myself time to digest the album before publishing a review.

In the vlog below, I review the album and talk about what I liked about the lyrics and production. It’s crazy because every new MONSTA X album becomes my favorite and Reason is no exception. With thoughtful lyrics, high quality production and phenomenal vocals, Reason is truly a modern classic.

K Penny: Reason by MONSTA X Album Review

From the title track Beautiful Liar with it’s Rock baseline, stunning vocals and vicious raps to Daydream, a song that was tailor made for Lee Minhyuk’s velvety vocals, to Crescendo written by Joohoney in which every member raps on the song to Lone Ranger written by Hyungwon a dark R&B song with rock elements, to Deny, an abstract R&B gem by I.M, and finally ending with It’s Alright a beautiful breakup song written by Joohoney.

Overall, Reason is an amazing album and absolutely one of MONSTA X’s best albums. As I said previously, MONSTA X are truly The Kings of K Pop. And although MONSTA X is about to go through some changes as Shownu returns from enlistment in April and Minhyuk prepares to leave in April, there is no doubt in my mind that they will continue on. There is no group like MONSTA X, they are the coolest group in K Pop.
