In this post, K Penny: Joohoney and Kihyun Announce Enlistment, I am going to talk about Joohoney and Kihyun’s enlistment in the military. I was originally only going to post on my YouTube channel but I realized I have posts on WONHO and Minhyuk’s enlistments.
That said, I decided to do one post for both Joohoney and Kihyun. However, this post includes separate vlogs. Also, I wanted MONBEBE (fans of MONSTA X) to be able to comment and react. As yall know, I’m a loyal MONBEBE and I love MONSTA X as they are The Kings of K Pop. I first discovered MONSTA X in late 2020.
Since then, life as a MONBEBE has been good. I have been able to dive into their content by watching their MON CHANNEL (behind the scenes) vlogs, their new variety show MON MUST GO ON, and I have copies of all their albums. Haha yup, I’m a serious fangirl who’s lost in Monbebeland.
K Penny: Joohoney Announces Enlistment
In the vlog below, I talk about how I found out about Joohoney’s enlistment and how I will miss him. As I said before, the trend of enlistment continues since WONHO enlisted in December 2022, Minhyuk in April 2022, and now Joohoney in July 2023.
I’ll definitely miss Joohoney’s hype energy (pun intended), his constant check ins with MONBEBE, and of course his amazing music. Joohoney has written and produced some of MONSTA X’s best songs. He also wrote and produced all of his solo music. He’s definitely one of my all time favorite artists.
K Penny: Kihyun Announces Enlistment
In the vlog below, I talk about how I discovered that Kihyun will be enlisting on August 22, 2023. It’s bittersweet since it comes just one week after Joohoney’s enlistment officially began. But at the same time, I’m relieved because now they can get the enlistments over with and reunite as a full group for their 10th Anniversary in 2025.
I’ll miss Kihyun because like Joohoney he is so energetic and fun. Plus he’s always checking in with MONBEBE as well. And his solo albums Voyager and Youth are incredible. I always play Youth whenever I’m going through something and it brings me such comfort. He’s also becoming a great songwriter as he wrote ,Comma from his Voyager album and Cause of You from Youth.
