#PennyTravels: Cincinnati + NYC Adventures

Dear Pennies & Pens,

In this post, #PennyTravels: Cincinnati and NYC Adventures, y’all will see random clips I shot during my recent trips to Cincinnati and NYC.

Cincinnati is my hometown — I went home to visit my family. My parents’ birthdays are only a week apart so my siblings and I hosted a dinner party for them and their friends to celebrate. I didn’t shoot any of that because it was just private family time.

What’s Inside Cincinnati + NYC Vlog

I shot scenes while hanging out with my sister, niece and nephew. We took the kids to a Reds game and out to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant called El Rancho Grande in Cincinnati. Then on another night, my sister and I went to a bar in Northern Kentucky and there was a beautiful view of the Ohio River so I shot clips there.

There’s also footage of my trip to NYC. I’ll admit it was a last minute trip because my attendance to Krazy K-Pop Super Concert wasn’t confirmed until later. So I had to plan the trip as far as flight and hotel between Thursday and Friday and I left on Saturday. But somehow, I was able to make it happen and my cousin/BFF Quincy came with me.

K Penny: Krazy K-Pop Super Concert @ UBS Arena NY

I went to the Krazy K-Pop Super Concert on Saturday night at UBS Arena in Long Island with my cousin/BFF Quincy. The concert was amazing, I loved seeing Cravity again and Shownu x Hyungwon of MONSTA X. It was my first time seeing Shownu live and he was incredible.

On the way home from the show, I met one of my readers/subscribers! I had no idea anyone was paying enough attention to recognize me out in public. So that was a cool moment that made me realize that I have to keep going.

Late Nights and Daytime in NYC

After the Krazy concert, we had a late night dinner and drinks at Dallas BBQ. The next day, ya girl was hungover and out of it but it was still a fabulous day. We started off with brunch at Tick Tock Diner then we went to Brooklyn for The Book of HOV Jay-Z exhibit at the Brooklyn Public Library.

It was phenomenal!!! As a Jay-Z fan, I was just in awe of how amazing the exhibit was. There were photos of Jay with family and friends, business associates, artists, just a variety of influential people. It was incredible seeing his life work up close and personal.

It felt so authentic and it was beyond inspiring. I feel like I need to work harder because Jay’s grind is consistent. He is absolutely one of the most influential and powerful artists and entrepreneurs of all time. Everyone knows Jay Z. As he once said, “I’m not a businessman, I’m a business, man.”

I could go on and on about Jay-Z and how much he has inspired me. I have always strived to be like Jay Z and I hope to one day make big moves the way he does. Check out the vlog below and let me know what you think.

#PennyTravels: Cincinnati + NYC Adventures

In the vlog below, you’ll see all of my various Cincinnati and NYC Adventures. As I mentioned before, the clips are random so please excuse my perfectly imperfect vlog.

It was so much fun shooting this vlog because it was so random and unplanned! I think that’s why because I let this vlog happen naturally instead of trying to shoot and stage every moment. I hope yall enjoy it!
