In this post, K Penny: Is SHOWNU releasing a solo album, I talk about why I think SHOWNU is about to release a solo album.
SHOWNU is the leader and lead vocalist of MONSTA X, The Kings of K-Pop. For the past nine years, SHOWNU has been slaying MONBEBE with his phenomenal vocals and exquisite dance moves. Not to mention, his good looks.
Post-enlistment SHOWNU era
In April 2023, SHOWNU returned safely from enlistment. Since then, he’s appeared on the cover of Singles Magazine and Allure Korea. He also released a subunit album with Hyungwon called The Unseen.
To promote The Unseen, SHOWNU X HYUNGWON performed at KCON LA, KAMP MX, KRAZY K-POP SUPER CONCERT, and M COUNTDOWN in France.
With so many amazing accomplishments, especially since everything I just named only happened in the last six months since SHOWNU’s military discharge, one can’t help but wonder…is SHOWNU working on a solo album? And when is he going to release it?!

In the vlog below, I talk about why I truly believe that SHOWNU is about to release a solo album. Please note, these are just my own personal theories. I do not know SHOWNU nor do I work for Starship Entertainment so I am only sharing my own opinion.
I truly hope to see SHOWNU release his first solo album. I think he’ll be a unique soloist and it would add value to the MONSTA X discography. Please let me know what you think in the comments.
