Behind The Ink: Relaunching The InkSpot’s Blog

Dear Pennies & Pens,

As you all hopefully know, I am CEO of The InkSpot. The InkSpot is a lifestyle production company. We produce original content and create lifestyle products. Basically, we do a little bit of everything. We publish blogs, books, and magazines; we produce music & films; and we make clothing, accessories, home goods, etc.

We are the publisher of this online lifestyle magazine, de la Pen…All Pen Everything as well as the publisher of #MakeUrPenLOUD: How To Be A LifeStyle Blogger. Last year, we launched Summer in the South, a blog series that chronicles our travel adventures in the southern region of the US. Summer in the South is about showcasing the best cities, hotels, art, food, music, wine, beer, fashion, style as well as events in the South.

However, since launching the company, I was confused about what direction to go in with the company blog. So rather than produce mediocre content (I mean hello we’re a production company!), I simply didn’t update the blog. But a few weeks ago, I got motivated and sat down and worked out all my ideas.

After I wrote a content strategy for the blog, I created a blogging schedule. Once that was done, I rewrote the blog’s about page. Then I wrote 3 new posts and officially updated the blog. I am so excited because I have some great projects in the works for The InkSpot!
